The track dumper DT10e with electric drive is used if no exhaust emissions should be generated when transporting materials. Construction companies use the dumper with a maximum payload of 1,000 kilograms, for example, during demolition work indoors. Due to its compact dimensions with a width of just 80 centimeters, the track dumper fits through every standard door. Three electric motors are built into its interior. Two motors drive the two tracks and the third electric motor is used for the work hydraulics. When it comes to power and stability, the electrically-operated dumper is in no way inferior to the diesel-powered model. The gradeability with a loaded bucket is 20 degrees (36 percent). The dumper can be used for up to eight hours.
Particularly in trench applications and inside buildings, the AS30e and AS50e battery-powered rammers can fully display their strengths. Emission-free work not only spares the operator, but also expands the vibratory rammer's range of application. The smaller model is a special rammer for compaction around pipe spandrels. The AS50e is used for all traditional rammer work. The battery, which can be used independently of the model, can be removed without tools so the operator can replace the discharged battery with a charged battery in a few simple steps. Because of the zero emissions, both models easily stand up to strict requirements, e.g. for urban construction areas or working in trenches. Low operating costs are an additional advantage, since the typical maintenance jobs of conventional rammers, for example maintenance work on the carburetor, do not come up with the battery-powered rammer. By operating with electricity, around 55 percent of running costs can also be saved.
With the dual power option, the 803 mini-excavator from Wacker Neuson can be connected to the HPU8 external electro-hydraulic power unit. The power unit allows the excavator to be operated electrically and completely emission-free. The ease-of-handling is particularly relevant for end users. If the excavator is required for demolition, reconstruction or repair work or interior restorations, the operator can drive it with the diesel engine from the truck to the site of operation. Two openings are inset in the dozer blade in which the HPU8 unit can be suspended for transport. In this way, the operator brings along the power unit via this transport support. Once on site, the operator simply connects the external power unit to the excavator's undercarriage. Thus the swing radius over 360 degrees also remains unrestricted in electrical operation, which means full freedom of movement in application.
Contractors who opt for the compact battery-operated WL20e wheel loader do not have to make any compromises with regard to performance, but can also benefit from the advantage of zero emissions. The performance parameters correspond to those of the diesel-operated wheel loader and in some areas were even exceeded, such as within the range of the tipping load, which reaches up to 1,350 kg thanks to the battery. A lead acid battery is used, which has been time-tested and proven in the industrial sector. Two separate electric motors, one for the drive system and one for the work hydraulics, ensure that the energy consumption is minimized, since the power is only utilized when it is really needed. The WL20e also convinces through dynamic and powerful starting, which the operator feels directly with each acceleration advantage. Zero-emissions pays off, for example, in greenhouses, during building renovations or in inside parking lots. With a height of 2.25 meters and a width of only one meter, these spaces are not a problem for the compact wheel loader. Once the battery is fully charged, the wheel loader is ready to take on work operation under full load of up to five hours — enough time for typical applications, such as loading and transporting goods over short distances.
